This month we thought we’d share a bit of the details of the some of the things we have been up to as a family in ministry outside of our usual prayer room hours. All these things are birthed through and sustained by our weekly time in the pray room.

Half-Night Prayer – Friday 30th September

We had our quarterly half night of prayer from 18:00-00:00, where for 6 hours we had non-stop prayer and worship. This is always a taste for us of what it will be like when the Witbank House of Prayer has enough full-time staff to be able to run 24/7 with non-stop prayer and worship. We are so grateful for what God is doing in the worship teams at WHOP and adding to them regularly.

Mens Gathering on the Koppie in Highveld Park – Saturday 1st October

Jean-Michel lead worship at a gathering on the Koppie, calling men out of passivity and to take their places as Fathers and Priests of their homes. It was powerful to see men being touched by God In their numbers, repenting and wanting to do better as husbands and fathers. Please pray for these seeds that were sown to be protected, watered and to bear lifelong & generational fruit.

Cherished Outreach in Johannesburg – Saturday 8th October

Nicole was part of a Cherished team that visited Strip Clubs, Massage Parlors, etc. to minister to ladies working in the Sex Industry. God was so good; they were protected everywhere they went and experienced supernatural favor, being able to minister to many ladies and people working at these organizations.

Please pray for this industry in our nation, its huge and there are so many people caught up in it and so much money being spent on it.

Every lady that Nicole interacted with had a different story or reason for doing this work; some were tricked into it, some are their against their will, some don’t feel worthy to do anything else, some are just plain desperate to put food on the table. The men (and sometimes couples) that are hanging out at these places mostly look like normal everyday dads and husbands, but as they entertain this dark & perverted addiction, are now spending their families time and money, feeding this terrible industry. All that can bring real change in this industry is God, and his church waging war in the spirit through prayer, along with those who feel lead to reach out through organizations like Cherished; please make a point to pray for this with us.

Recording of a Worship Song for Bonnie-Jean Masson – Weekend of 14-16 October

We had the privilege of recording one of Bonnie-Jeans’ newest worship songs in our studio at home. Jean-Michel played drums, guitar, bass and produced it. We will share the single with you as soon as the mixing and mastering process is complete, and the song has been released. We are excited for the worship God is busy releasing from the Masson Family.

Return Conference – Friday 21 & Saturday 22 October

We aired the International House of Prayer Return Conference in the prayer room. As per always, this was confronting in so many ways. One of the things that we felt compelled by the most was to Love the Church, to build the Church up, to cover the Church more in prayer, more than ever. All the people across the body of Christ no matter persuasion or domination are going to be standing next to us on the same sea of glass, in the same throne room when all is said and done as ‘One Bride’..We have to uphold one another now, and not criticize more than ever as the difficultly of the times are escalating at a rapid rate; and if we don’t stick together as the body of Christ, we will be easy targets for the enemy.

Lead Worship at New Life Church – Sunday 23 October

We were asked by Pastor Desray to assist with Leading Worship once per month at New Life Church. This was quite special as Desray was the same person who first asked Jean-Michel to drum in the New Life Worship team when he was just 12 years old; this was where his journey as a worshipper/musician started and he went on to serve for 19 years on the New Life Worship Team. It was special to go and serve at the place where we both grew spiritually to be able to do what we do now.

Worship and Sound Training – Sunday 30th October

Jean-Michel facilitated training for our House of Prayer Worship Teams and Sound Team. God has been doing something special in the prayer room worship this year. This training allowed everyone on the team to be pushed a bit more out of their comfort zones and press more into what God wants to say and do in the worship & intercession sets.

Cherished Outreach in Middelburg Thursday 3rd November

Nicole went on another outreach, this time to minister to the ladies working in the sex industry in Middelburg. Please pray that much will come from divine appointments, and the hearts which heard and received the gospel on this outreach.

Other News

We also celebrated Nicole turning 34 on the 10th of October and Hadassah turning 3 on the 23rd of October.

Jean-Michel’s mother is visiting in South Africa at the moment from Mauritius; we’re really looking forward to spending some time with her.

At Masson Music, we have had Joshua Manqele join our team as the Keyboard/Piano Specialist Teacher, and he has already been with us for 2 months. He is the most skilled keys player we have ever had as a teacher and he loves connecting with students and helping them discover their own unique sound. Josh is also currently a Joshua Year Student at the Witbank House of Prayer. We are so grateful for this new addition to Masson Music, as he is a wholehearted worshipper.

Family Prayer Requests:

  • Finances; we are trusting God for more people to come alongside us as financial partners. Also that in the new year there will be an influx of new Masson Music students.
  • Jean-Michel is going to be in studio in December to record, mix and produce some of the worship songs that have been birthed in the past 2 years. Please pray for this process; that he will also experience this as a time of rest even though he’ll be working really hard.
  • Jean-Claude will be going to TaalFees School next year and doing grade 2; please pray for us for provision for this, and that we will be able to balance the new school routine with both our home and ministry commitments.
  • For protection of our health, finances and relationships.

The Buffelspoort Outreach is coming up from 18 December to 3 January. This is for single youngsters between Grade 7 and Age 25…if you know of any young people who would like to be part of this outreach, please Whatsapp Linda on 083 447 1661 for more info.
