Grateful
The past few weeks I have been constantly filled with a sense of gratitude, I think one of the biggest contributors to this has been our weekly intercession set for the Persecuted Church across the nations and Israel. Being confronted with the horrors that our brothers and sisters are faced with across the nations brings what I have into perspective. Many believers across the globe give up families, income, community, etc. when they decide to follow Jesu…this often results in these people having a deep rooted faith as they are so reliant on God; it’s beautiful and tragic all at the same time. If you would like more information about our persecuted brothers and sisters across the nations, so that you can pray for them, check out these websites.
I would like to encourage you to daily focus your thoughts on everything in your life that you can be thankful for; not only the big things but also the small things. Here are just a few examples:
- Our freedom as South African’s to worship Jesus and proclaim His name.
- Your physical provision: the clothes you are wearing, the food you have eaten today, where you live.
- Relationships: your family and friends.
- The fact that you are alive and able to read this.

Healing Rooms
The Witbank House of Prayer Healing Rooms has been on the go now for the past few weeks. Bookings can be made for Tuesdays from 12:00-14:00.
It’s been an amazing experience to not only minister to people’s physical needs but always emotional and spiritual needs. It’s beautiful to see God work through those who make themselves available to be channels for Holy Spirit’s healing power, as they bless those in need of healing.
If you are in need of healing, know someone in need of healing or if you’d just like more info, follow this link:

WHOP TV
We just finished filming several Teaching Series at our studio of different staff members and students to be published on YouTube soon. Jean-Michel and I are doing a series on Marriage and Parenting, answering some questions that younger couples and parents have asked us. We are so excited about this as we believe these online teachings will be a great resource to edify and share revelation with different parts of the body of Christ for such a time as this.
What we’re trusting God for?
- We’re trusting God for more financial partners; we have already been so blessed by people’s willingness to partner with us for what we are doing in our ministry calling.
- Students for the IHOPU and the Joshua Year.
- The past few months we have been back and forth on the following, so please pray for us for insight, wisdom, and provision for the following:
We originally bought the Ford Tourneo Bus that we now drive in 2018 for the business as we were regularly transporting big sound equipment and students to and from their lessons, so the bus basically paid for itself through the business. Our VW Polo was stolen out of our yard in 2019, which was primarily our family car. We decided to use the insurance money that was paid out for the Polo to secure the front of our house as the wall was falling and the gate monitor was non-existent. We then started using the Bus as both our business and family vehicle. 2020 hit and business / sound hire events ceased, so the bus wasn’t anymore being used for what we originally intended it for; however, it is nice to have a spacious car with three children and often friends. So, we are trusting God that we will be able to pay the bus off once off in full as the monthly payments are steep for us as a family now, and that He will guide us as to the following:
- Do we get a smaller 7 or 8 seater that is lighter on fuel and maintenance as 90% of our driving is done in town OR
- Do we keep the bus for when we are able to do worship events again to transport the equipment we have?
So, after that long explanation 😊 please pray for us for wisdom and provision and that we won’t act out of our lack but out of our position as children of God and through His divine foresight.
- Please pray for us for provision for a Laptop for Nicole, the programmes that she uses for her ministry media work are more and more giving issues as her Desktop is very old. She also needs a laptop so she can also work on it at the House of Prayer and anywhere else we may go; at the moment she is limited to only working at home which limits her working time. We are believing for R25 000 for this.
Similarly pray for us for provision for a M1 Mac Mini for Breathe Worship Studios with the growing need for more processing speed and space for the recording projects which require a lot of speed and space. To realistically be able to record and produce the amount of Worship Projects we envision as this becomes a bigger focus of our ministry as we believe God is leading it to be; this addition to our Tech Equipment will be required. We are believing for about R15000 for this.
IHOPU-EP
The Witbank House of Prayer is an educational partner of the International House of Prayer University. We currently have 4 second year students doing their Ministry Training Degrees; it’s amazing to interact with these students when we’re at the House of Prayer and to see how they are growing in intimacy and knowledge of God. Here are the 3 qualifications that can be completed at the Witbank House of Prayer via IHOPU:
- Forerunner Ministry School
- Forerunner Worship School
- Forerunner Media School

Blinkpan Outreach
Jossie, one of the full-time prayer missionaries at the Witbank House of Prayer, preaches at a NG Church in Blinkpan on Sunday mornings. This community even though very small, has a severe drug problem; in light of this, the Witbank House of Prayer team was part of an outreach on Saturday 11 September where we did the following:
- Mario du Toit (as a guest to assist our team) shared his testimony and spoke to the young people about drug abuse and the dangers therein; he also engaged with the parents in another session on the issues around having children who use drugs and gave advice on the way forward.
- Linda and Jossie shared God’s heart regarding abortion and the ‘shedding of innocent blood’ with the parents and then with the young people; after which they felt to do an alter call…it was beautiful to see so many young people give their hearts to Jesus.
- Pierre headed up a small team that did ‘Living Ball’ with the Children while sharing the gospel with them and then afterwards taught on “Stranger Danger”.
- The rest of the team was divided into groups and interceded for each facet of the day throughout the event.
Joshua Year
The Joshua Year applications for 2022 are now open; to apply and for more info go to: https://witbankhop.co.za/training/joshua-year/
Currently Jean-Michel and I are involved with the Joshua Year by facilitating a subject called “Attributes of God” and in training the students in their Worship/Intercessory function. What we love about this year, is seeing the students leave with so much restoration having been done in their inner man, an understanding of and loving the Word and Prayer, and ultimately pursuing Jesus as their “One-Thing”. This creates an incredible foundation for people both young and old for when they leave to pursue the dreams God has placed in their hearts.
